On 09/11/2018 Fahrusha welcomed Eric Wargo, author of Time Loops and The Nightshirt blog to “Shattered Reality Podcast.” Time Loops is an intensive look at precognition. Dr. Wargo covers premonitions, presentiments and dreams. He believes that precognition, literally “knowing ahead”, is a product of retrocausation. Retrocausation is a theory in physics wherein the effect precedes its cause. This is a radical and fairly new idea that is gaining more acceptance. Simply put, the future affects the present and the past, creating a loop in time. It fits into the logic that time can move backwards as well as forwards as postulated in theoretical physics. Because we are biological entities who seem to move only one way in time inexorably from birth to death, it is difficult to imagine that causation can move in the opposite direction. Yet in terms of theoretical physics this should be possible.
Quantum computing apparently uses retrocausation in its functioning.
Remote viewing, specifically associative remote viewing relies entirely on retrocausation. One is pre-cognizing the outcome of a sports game, for instance.
Almost one hundred years ago, J.W. Dunne wrote a seminal book on precognitive dreams, An Experiment with Time, which changed the way of thinking about prescient dreams and introduced to the public the idea of retrocausality to precognition. Eric told us of a “Dunne” dream he had about 9/11 involving two identical square concrete mosques. After Eric signed off, Fahrusha read the 9/11 accounts from listeners Mark, Nurse Nancy, Suzanne Evans Morris, Ph.D., and intuitive Greg; and related some of her own experiences in an abbreviated form.
Fahrusha and Kate Valentine were pleased to welcome illustrious author and paranormal investigator George P. Hansen to “Shattered Reality Podcast”. There was so much to speak about that it was difficult to fit it into an hour and fifteen minutes. Hansen looks at the paranormal from the view of anthropology and skepticism but never debunking. He views many of the phenomena of the paranormal as being affected and sometimes caused by the Trickster. He gives two compatible definitions of who or what the Trickster is, the first of which concerns the folk traditions of many, if not all, indigenous cultures around the world. Some of the famous folk tricksters are Loki of Norse mythology, the Coyote of the American Southwest, Iktomi (spider) of the Lakota and Ananzi (spider) of the Caribbean and Africa. These Tricksters are shapeshifters so they can appear in different guises. In his words “The trickster archetype is not designated by immediately observable physical features. Rather it is a more abstract constellation of characteristics that is usually personified (i.e., identified with a person or animal).” His second definition is a bit more ephemeral to explain. It includes many aspects of psi including boundary crossing, irrationality, fakery, change and instability and it is, by its very nature, non-binary.
We tackle many subjects, especially including UFOs. For instance these objects are often seen to be shapeshifting, and some might be interstellar or not, and of course they may have more than one origin and they often appear at times of great change. The purported occupants may lie to humans or their communication may seem absurd or be misunderstood. They often appear to people when those people are in altered states of consciousness, as in the liminal state.
On June 26, 2018 Kate Valentine and Fahrusha enjoyed welcoming back Irena Scott, PhD, to “Shattered Reality Podcast” for our seventy-first show. Dr. Scott has written five books and the latest one, Inside the Lightning Ball: Scientific Study of Lifelong UFO Experiences, is autobiographical in that it concerns her own paranormal experiences regarding UFOs, orbs and ball lightning. She wanted to be very clear that when critics and debunkers say that scientists do not see UFOs the critics are misinformed. In the book, she also elucidates why she thinks some people are multiple experiencers.
Irena Scott started having UFO experiences as a young child in a rural farm-house when an unknown glowing metallic object flew around the attic bedroom she shared with her sister. Her sister, mother and cousin corroborated the report. She had a bizarre lightning experience in Texas, where she also witnessed what was probably the famous Marfa lights. She had many UFO sightings in Ohio while working for the DIA. She recounted for us a second sighting she had while driving near Boston with her sister. Again her sister backed up the report.
I believe that Dr. Scott is doing a great service by revealing her sightings and experiences. The more credible folks that do this, the less likely experiencers will be ridiculed and maligned because of these events. No longer will scientists fear the loss of their hard-won professional positions. I especially like that she does not speculate overly much on what these phenomena might be. She is confident to say “I don’t know .” when appropriate. For instance, sometimes orbs seem to be related to electrical storms while at other times they seem more related to UFOs or even nature spirits. There is a need for these phenomena to be studied with an open mind by those that haven’t come to a premature conclusion.
On June 12, 2018 Fahrusha and Kate Valentine were happy to welcome Rich Martini, who both wrote the book FlipSide and made the film “FlipSide”, which examine the phenomena of life between lives, wherein people visit a spiritual realm between physical lives to evaluate the past life and plan the next life. The person whose work this film and book concentrates on is the late hypnotherapist Dr. Michael Newton, who passed away in September 2016.
In the years since his making the film “FlipSide” Rich Martini has branched out into after-death communication. However for this podcast he demonstrated with Fahrusha how the life between lives process might work. This demonstration was a total departure from our usual programming. Rich is extremely enthusiastic and upbeat. Fahrusha verifies that she had seen what might amount to her “Council” in a stadium-like setting on several deep meditations at the Monroe Institute and elsewhere. We at SRP would like to know what our listeners think about the process that Rich Martini took Fahrusha through. She did exactly what he told her at the beginning and said the first thing that came into her mind. Does this constitute proof? Our jury is out. We would like to know your opinion on this.
Fahrusha found out about Life Between Lives therapy through a client who was quite taken with it. Several years ago she read one of his books and listened to an audio from the Michael Newton Institute and she thought the idea was fascinating but frightening. She didn’t want to die and have to go to school in the afterlife. She didn’t want to come back to play parts on Earth. Having studied the works of Robert Monroe rather thoroughly, she worried that if she might be caught in what Monroe called “the belief system territories”. That references the idea that one goes to the place that one believes in after death.
In addition to FlipSide, Rich Martini’s books include It’s A Wonderful Afterlife Volumes I and II, and Hacking the Afterlife.
We were thrilled that Rich Martini came on our podcast to explain the whole process to us and as Kate Valentine opines “We are all dying to find out.” 😉
On May 29, 2018 Kate Valentine and Fahrusha welcomed paranormal researcher, David B. Metcalfe, to ”Shattered Reality Podcast”. David is currently working with former guest, Andrew Chesnut, on a follow-up book about Santa Muerte. He is also the editor in chief of Threshold: Journal of Interdisciplinary Consciousness Studies (TJICS), a new, free, online-only, open access journal of the Windbridge Research Center. You may remember the Windbridge researchers, Dr. Julie Beischel and Mark Boccuzzi from past episodes of SRP. David studied Philosophy and Folklore at Elmhurst College in Illinois. His day job is digital communications and he is a two dimensional artist as well.
We spoke about the Santa Muerte (Saint Death) cult emanating from Mexico. The belief spans the Americas today. The tradition is widespread and runs the gamut from blessings to curses, some of which can be very violent. He and Craig Williams are involved in a book project to support Haitian artists in the Voodoo style. Listener Will had questions about the definitions of Satanism and Santa Muerte which David answered. We spoke about how we in the US seldom see dead bodies whereas in other cultures such as those of Latin America and India, it is common to see the bodies of the dead. It may not be healthy for us to almost never see a dead body because it allows Americans to deny the psychological truth of Death.
Other topics covered included UFOs, abductions, To The Stars Academy, the Christian faith healing practice of praying and talking away the fire (burns), Native American Skinwalkers, Pennsylvania Dutch Pow-Wow tradition and other communal practices. In addition, David writes for Medium and runs a website about Santa Muerte with Andrew Chesnut called Skeleton Saint.
Note: Dennis Kuchinich is the former Senator whose name we forgot.
On May 8, 2018 Fahrusha and Kate valentine welcomed Avrel Seale, a seasoned writer who lives in Texas and has an abiding interest in Sasquatch (also known as Bigfoot). A father of three Boy Scouts, he is an avid and observant hiker. He believes he has found substantive evidence of the creature in Sam Houston National Forest an hour north of Houston. For his fiftieth birthday he decided to hike the full length of the Lone Star Trail by himself in search of the elusive hominid. His book Monster Hike: A 100-Mile Inquiry Into the Sasquatch Mystery (Anomalist Books) chronicles this adventure. In addition to Bigfoot he has written about the history of the area and the other natural features and creatures that abound there. If you are planning on looking for Sasquatch or Yeti, I recommend that you read this book before setting out. It is also of great interest to hikers or would-be tenderfoots like me. His eclectic blog, “The Trailhead”, is at avrelseale.wordpress.com.
Stephanie Quick graced our “Listener’s Corner” with some paranormal experiences of her own. She has had an interest in the weird and paranormal since she was a little girl, and (in her own words) “common sense has yet to prevail”. Stephanie reveals her Near Death Experience and a missing time episode in Northern California.
On April 24, 2018 Fahrusha and Kate Valentine were pleased to welcome Terry Lovelace, alien abductee and author of Incident at Devil’s Den to “Shattered Reality Podcast”. Terry’s story is so remarkable that we gave him a whole lot of room to tell his story. We’d like to have him back to answer our questions and any questions our listener’s would like to ask. Regretfully we lost Kate Valentine’s connection about 20 minutes into the show.
Terry Lovelace saw several UFOs as a child and saw grey alien beings in his childhood bedroom. After he joined the Air Force in the ’70s he worked as a medic. He and another medic and a number of other Air Force personnel witnessed an unknown diamond-shaped craft hovering over a missile silo one freezing night in Missouri. Two years later he and his medic friend went on a camping trip to Arkansas’s Devil’s Den National Forest. There they witnessed a huge triangular craft hovering over a meadow where they had set up camp. The craft sent down laser like beams of light which appeared to inspect them. They retreated to their tent where they fell unconscious and woke up later to see the craft depart the meadow.
Crying and terrified, they got in their car, leaving behind all their camping gear. They drove back to the Air Force base with great haste, stopping only for beverages to slake their overwhelming thirst. Upon return, they were both hospitalized with skin burns and photophobia, an abnormal intolerance to visual perception of light. They were also separated and forbidden to interact with one another and one another’s families.
Subsequently, Terry was questioned by Air Force OSI officers under the influence of a truth serum-like drug. More recently he discovered a metal object in his knee along with several other objects through a series of x-rays at a veteran’s hospital. The metal object was later removed by the beings that put it there.
Terry Lovelace is a lawyer and former Assistant Attorney General of both Vermont and American Samoa.
On March 13,2018 Kate Valentine and Fahrusha were very happy to welcome Anthony Peake, prolific author on the subject of consciousness, who has written nine widely acclaimed books on various aspects of non-physical realities (or are they?), time and consciousness and perception. We speak with him primarily about his book Opening the Doors of Consciousness, the title of which is based on the Aldous Huxley (1894-1963) book The Doors of Perception the title of which in turn comes from a poem by William Blake (1757-1827). It brings to mind the image of great thinkers through time standing on the shoulders of the one before and building upon knowledge.
If the doors of perception were cleansed everything would appear to man as it is, infinite. ~William Blake
We also touch upon two of his other books Time and the Rose Garden: Encountering the Magical in the life and works of J.B. Priestley and A Life of Philip K Dick: The Man Who Remembered the Future. Both Priestley and Dick explored the subjects of time and consciousness in an unorthodox and thought provoking manner.
We discuss the difficulties of exploring consciousness anomalies using the paradigm of the materialistic scientific method. Does substantial first person experience data equal proof? Are we just meat puppets with accidental biological consciousness or are we part of an infinite consciousness which is eternal? Is reality holographic and are we living in a simulation? Peake explains this through the vocabulary of Gnosticism.
How can we break through the doors of perception? Humans can experience other realities through dreams, schizophrenia, psychotropic drugs and other processes. Are these realities any less real than 4-D? Only in the sense that in 4-D we can have the perception of consensus with other humans. This is called “consensual reality” and on a certain level unprovable due to the fact that individuals see the same event very differently.
I shall close this recap of the podcast with a quote from Aldous Huxley that I find germane to our subject: Maybe this world is another planet’s hell.
On February 13, 2018 Kate Valentine and Fahrusha welcomed prolific author Preston Dennett to Shattered Reality Podcast. He has written twenty books on paranormal phenomena mostly about UFOs. Preston belongs to that group valuable chroniclers who is an ethnographer, in that he writes down the accounts of people as they tell him their experiences. People all over the world have unexplained encounters with non-human entities. Often these incidents are scoffed at because they seem extraordinary and they cannot be proven to those who haven’t experienced them. And yet these encounters happen all the time to otherwise “normal” people all over the world since the dawn of written history (and probably before, if we are to believe petroglyphs). In fact they are the basis of most of the world’s religions!
The ten people Preston writes about in his book Inside UFOs: True Accounts of Contact With Extraterrestrials are ordinary Americans, from housewives to engineers to former Navy sailors. None were seeking publicity or riches. What I found amazing was that not all of them were scared out of their wits by their experiences as both your friendly co-hosts were during their encounters. I dounderstand not being frightened by anomalous lights in the distance, but when one has a non-human entity in one’s home, well that’s panic time for me. Where my thinking leads me on this is that something happened to these ten individuals. If it happened to someone else, their mind might interpret it differently because it is in some way beyond everyday human experience, beyond ordinary human perception and understanding. Who or what is behind these encounters with non-human intelligences remains totally unknown.
We also spoke briefly about another of his books The Coronado Island UFO Incident. Preston is currently at work on several new books.
On January 21, 2018 our guest for this episode took ill at the last moment and we wished him well. So Kate Valentine and Fahrusha decided to discuss their impressions of cryptozoology and the reasons why people in general are interested in the paranormal. Fahrusha related her experience of seeing three unusual black butterflies in three unusual places in one day. (Note: The stopover was at Dulles airport, not Charlotte.) They discussed their ideas about Sasquatch and the unfolding story of possible UFO disclosure by the “To The Stars Academy”. Kate recollected her prior interview with Frank Faschino concerning the Flatwoods Monster.
After sixty episodes, Kate and Fahrusha decided to simply talk to each other. The audio engineer of the show mentioned having seen a large bird with orange skin and a mammalian face. Fahrusha read a very thoughtful letter she had received from listener Freeman about his views on alien intelligence. While not disagreeing with Freeman’s premise both Fahrusha and Kate’s points of view held for wider possibilities, that is, while his model was quite plausible and well constructed, there is room in the Universe for a wider diversity of life. Freeman’s letter can be read below.
Like many others around the US and the world, we here at Shattered Reality Podcast are waiting patiently for the next word from the New York Times via Leslie Kean et. al. or the members of “To The Stars Academy” on what the Defense Intelligence Agency (D.I.A.) and Robert Bigelow might have discovered about the nature of the phenomena in the skies seen by millions of witnesses across the globe since the beginning of recorded history. These sightings have become more intense since the dawn of the nuclear age.
Just wanted to respond to your comment about the way aliens might think…
In essence, biological intelligence exists to direct efficient movement and actions by incorporating sensory input.
From a scientific point of view, logic, reasoning and rationality are universal; as applied to problem solving, investigation and the scientific method for the development of technology and maths based modelling.
However, general ‘reasoning’ as applied by individuals, can often be used to justify any action or behaviour, but may contain erroneous flaws of logic and incorrect assumptions.
To put it crudely, there could be considered a difference in the application of rationality between the ‘architects of technology’ and the ‘users of technology’.
Rational decisions will include statistical outliers i.e. statistically abnormal decision making, considered unethical, irrational or unacceptable by society in general. This overlaps with concepts of justice, legal systems and protecting the public.
Abnormal thinking can result from biological dysfunctions (including genetic abnormalities & brain damage) or learned behaviours.
Biological ET intelligence is likely to arise from universal evolutionary processes. Competition for resources is likely to promote hunting as a ‘winning strategy’, with the consequence of a natural sensory/intelligence arms race.
Individuals within a self aware, technologically developing species will likely continue to exhibit inherited behaviours relating to self-preservation and basic needs, as well as high level behaviours such as altruism. We might also expect aliens to exhibit behaviours relating to intra-species cultures, as well as fill-in-the-gap concepts provided by faith and various religious ideas.
Abnormal behaviours are in some respects statistical, so one day we might define extreme behaviours in terms of the ‘galactic’ norm for rational beings.
Another aspect to consider is learning and education, and the common subjects that any biological ‘alien’ intelligence would teach subsequent generations.
In practical terms, the necessary intelligence, skills and knowledge required to function and thrive in a physical environment (capable of supporting a tool-making species), provide both a common frame of reference for all species and influence cultures and behaviour. There may be more that we share in common, than keeps us apart.
On October 24, 2017 Kate Valentine and Fahrusha were very pleased to welcome Dr. John B. Alexander back to Shattered Reality Podcast to discuss his new book Reality Denied, Firsthand Experiences with Things That Can’t Happen But Did. This book is an autobiography of many of Alexander’s paranormal experiences and extraordinary events. He is the author of a number of other books and articles including UFOs: Myths, Conspiracies and Realities and is the recipient of awards too numerous to mention.
We spoke about UFOs, trans-species communication with dolphins and unusual human skills including metal bending. The book is filled with fascinating and mind-bending experiences, exotic places visited, and extraordinary people met. But the takeaway is the lifelong quest and metamorphosis of a curious individual who began his career as an infantry private. He rose to Army colonel, received a PhD, became a non-lethal weapons expert and more recently delved into shamanism. John calls for more research into the nature of consciousness and these things that can’t happen but do. He fears that today’s paradigm of materialism keeps young scientists from researching the true nature of consciousness. He encourages more open-mindedness in science and hopes that young researchers will have the courage to explore areas beyond the soul-crushing confines of mechanistic materialism, as have many quantum physicists.
Fahrusha was very happy to welcome David Booher, author of No Return, The Gerry Irwin Story, UFO Abduction or Covert Operation?to Shattered Reality Podcast. Booher has penned an exceptionally well written and well researched book on the extraordinary experiences of an Army soldier in 1959. Before David Booher did his research, everyone in the ufological community thought that Gerry Irwin had completely disappeared. Booher found Irwin, alive and reasonably well in his native Idaho.
While on leave from Fort Bliss in 1959, Gerry Irwin saw an unidentified falling object in Utah during his drive toward his army base in Texas. Thinking it was a plane in the process of crashing he left his car by the side of the road and headed into the bush to help. He was found by a local sheriff face down in the February snow. He subsequently suffered from extreme amnesia and went AWOL on two occasions. Those are the bare bones of the story as described in 1962 by Jim and Coral Lorenzen of APRO (Aerial Phenomena Research Organization). We discussed some of the many details the author was able to ferret out.
In our Listeners Corner, June Ponte, an artist and intuitive from New Jersey, tells us of two UFO sightings she experienced in the Garden State. Co-incidentally Gerry Irwin had been a Nike missile technologist at the time of his initial experience and June Ponte had been protesting nuclear power directly before one of her sightings.
On August 8, 2017, Kate Valentine and Fahrusha were proud to welcome listener and author Lucina Stone to “Shattered Reality Podcast”. She is the author of the Daniela Story series of young adult fiction. The first book of the series is called Santa Muerte and was inspired by our show “Shattered Reality Podcast”, and more specifically by the episodes dealing with Mexico. Lucina is an avid listener to our podcast. We are elated to have inspired someone to the degree that they felt impelled to write a series of books!
Lucina, from Morris County, New Jersey, was the 2016 winner of two awards of the prestigious International Latino Book Awards for Best Sci/Fi novel and Best New Author. Santa Muerte- The Daniela Story (Story Merchant Books Press, 2016 release) tackles diversity in science fiction and fantasy by using folklore and culture. She holds a MA in Clinical Counseling and is a Licensed Professional Counselor.
On this episode we discuss the genesis of this novel. Lucina paid attention to her dreams, which gave her some ideas for the novel. Her novel is very inclusive giving important roles within it to women, Latinas and LGBT people. We here at “Shattered Reality Podcast” support inclusivity, especially as we are both women. Much of the story is about the relationship between mothers and daughters as cultures change through time and country, but there are some surprising science fiction plot twists that will amaze the reader.
Note: Fahrusha mentioned Carlos Castaneda, the Yaqui shaman Don Juan, and the female followers of Castaneda, but could not remember the name of the one whose books she had read and found intriguing. That woman was Florinda Donner, who was actually married for Castaneda for a number of years and member of a Nagual group that surrounded him, including also Taisha Abelar. “They were known as the witches, and two of them, Florinda Donner-Grau and Taisha Abelar, vanished the day after Castaneda’s death, along with Cleargreen president Amalia Marquez and Tensegrity instructor Kylie Lundahl. A few weeks later, Patricia Partin, Castaneda’s adopted daughter as well as his lover, also disappeared.” (From the Salon article by Robert Marshall.)
Kate Valentine and Fahrusha are pleased to welcome Dr. Phillip Davidson originator of Enhanced Visualization Technique to “Shattered Reality Podcast.” Phil started his professional life as an IT professional and spent a number of years at a high level job in Hong Kong. When he returned to the United Kingdom, he decided to retrain and earned a PhD in Psychology. He had a keen interest in the nature of consciousness and became a grief counselor. Coincidentally, like our last guest, Dr. Milton Wainwright, Phil hails from Sheffield, England. Fahrusha had the pleasure of meeting and conversing with Phil at a Monroe Institute’s Professional Division Seminar.
Over the years of being a grief counselor he noted how many individuals he interacted with were unable to move forward after the death of a loved one, particularly if the loved one was a child. Phil takes people from the waking state of consciousness to a place where they can access their unconscious. EVT is that process. Through EVT, Enhanced Visualization Technique, people are able to leave their bodies, meet their higher selves, and communicate with their departed loved ones. Loss of body image or proprioception is key to EVT. With EVT one can stay conscious during the entire experience of exploration of the unconsciousness.
Dr. Davidson specializes in using his technique with grieving people, but psychonaut explorers can greatly benefit from EVT as well. With EVT the grieving individual can learn to communicate with the departed loved one at will and without the services of a medium. We at “Shattered Reality Podcast” like the idea of this method because it appears to bridge the gap between a person’s unconscious and the One that is all individual consciousnesses. We ourselves have not sampled EVT but would certainly like to do so.
Dr. Phillip Davidson can be contacted via email at: email@example.com
On February 28, 2017, Kate Valentine and Fahrusha welcomed Tom Butler, expert on the EVP ( Electronic Voice Phenomena) and author of Your Immortal Self: Exploring the Mindful Way. EVP stands for Electronic Voice Phenomena. The practice of using electronics to record the voices of entities was brought to the public eye by Latvian writer and parapsychologist Konstantīns Raudive and Swedish painter and film producer Friedrich Jürgenson.
Tom and his wife Lisa Butler manage the A Trans C which stands for Association TransCommunication. The organization was started by the late Sarah Estep in 1982 as the American Association of Electronic Voice Phenomena (AA-EVP). Her objective was to “provide objective evidence that we survive physical death in our individual conscious state.” Tom Butler explains the basics of the EVP phenomena and links it to his understanding of human consciousness. He has two websites, http://atransc.org and http://ethericstudies.org with more information and how he can be contacted.
We got a huge surprise when we bid Tom good-bye and were wrapping up the show. Suddenly on Kate’s track only we recorded an EVP. Kate and Fahrusha and our audio engineer, Bill, were all in the same room in plain sight of one another. We were totally surprised and flummoxed. Listen to the six second clip below to hear what was recorded.
We were all rather baffled. Here is what Tom had to say when we forwarded the clip to him:
“Lisa and I agree that it does sound like a voice and assuming it was not voice from the room, it fits our expectation of EVP. As we hear it, there is a “Woup” voice sound shortly followed by a gurgling sound and then the prolonged “Ohhhhh.” We like to think of EVP as communication, but knowing they are often watching in, and how people in the peanut gallery like to comment on the goings on, I would not be surprised to learn the speaker was making a choking sound and then laughing about his or her cleverness. The speaker sounds like a young person
“The thing is, we will likely never know. Many EVP are simply comments for which we have no references. Examples of such EVP can accumulate pretty fast, so except for their novelty, we usually suggest they are discarded. Else, we become overwhelmed with unanswerable questions. Your example does fit into the novelty category, as most peanut gallery comments are not as clear.
“One of the things to look for is where the utterance showed up in the equipment. We think EVP is formed in a specific process, say a transistor junction in an amplifier. We expect the place to be analog and nonlinear, as stochastic amplification is more likely in such energy environments. So, if the voice was in all headsets, look to the amplifier of the studio, but we would expect it to be upstream from the output amplifier. If the EVP made it into the recording memory, we would think it was formed somewhere in the input stage between the microphone and the memory conversion process.
“It is the formation of such voices that helps us study how the expected etheric-physical conversion is accomplished.”
In this podcast episode #42 recorded on January 3, 2017, Kate Valentine and Fahrusha speak to two Psi Explorers and one listener about their personal psychic experiences.
First up is Russell Targ, formerly of the Stanford Research Institute, and one of the originators of remote viewing. His two stories of his own precognitive dreams are thought-provoking. He emphasizes that psychic dreams and other psi phenomena are normal and these experiences can be had by anyone. We just need to be attentive to them.
Next up is Dr. Michael Grosso who tells two stories from his own collection of personal psychic experiences. The first is the story of a beautiful Christmas miracle (I can’t tell you more because that would be a spoiler) and the second is a precognitive dream he had as a child. His most recent book is The Man Who Could Fly: St. Joseph of Copertino and the Mystery of Levitation.
Listener Peter completes this episode with a very strange ghostly experience he had at the illustrious old Hotel Del Coronado in California in the early 1990’s.
Notes: During the episode Fahrusha mentioned an opinion piece on her blog which was reprinted by George Filer on Filer’s Files. We want to also thank Ken Pfeifer for also reprinting it. The article is called Extraterrestrial Evolution.
On 9-13-2016 Kate Valentine and Fahrusha warmly welcomed Lisette Larkins, experiencer extraordinaire and prolific author, to Shattered Reality Podcast. Her alien encounters are numerous and filled with wise advice for those on Earth-plane.
Here at Shattered Reality we believe in giving our guests the podium to express themselves and relate their experiences. We do not criticize the experiences of others that we believe to be expressed honestly from the heart. So kindly suspend disbelief when listening to the real life experiences of a very nice fellow human being. Are you listening, materialistic debunkers and brain as the seat of consciousness advocates? She has come out of these experiences with a great amount of wisdom which rivals many a sage.
Lisette Larkins is the author of five books, the latest of which is Above and Beyond, the Incredible True Story of Extraterrestrial Contact. Lisette had graciously and generously offered to gift three listeners with a three book set of her books which were delivered to our listeners. These prizes were decided by the co-hosts and audio engineer of Shattered Reality Podcast and their decisions are final. Thanks also to the wonderful folks at Rainbow Ridge Books.
On July 26, 2016 “Shattered Reality Podcast” was delighted to present Dr. Stanley Krippner who spoke to Fahrusha and Kate Valentine about his studies in parapsychology. He has written and co-written a very impressive list of books and professional psychological papers.
We cover some of his work in dream studies. Beginning with his dream telepathy research with Montague Ullman and at the Dream Lab at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn and continuing with his work today with an amazing female dreamer in Arizona, Dr. Stan gives wonderful examples of powerfully psychic dreams that will stimulate you to journal your sleeping adventures for further contemplation.
Dr. Krippner also discusses some of his shamanic studies and his long-term friendship with Rolling Thunder, a colorful Native American shaman and cultural icon. He wrote a book about this called The Voice of Rolling Thunderwith Sidian Morningstar Jones.
Dr. Stanley Krippner’s website can be accessed here for a list of his books and articles to read and more.
On May 10, 2016, Andrew Chesnut, Ph.D., author of Devoted to Death, Santa Muerte, the Skeleton Saint, joined Kate Valentine and Fahrusha for this thirtieth episode of Shattered Reality Podcast. He is the Bishop Walter F. Sullivan Chair in Catholic Studies and Professor of Religious Studies at Virginia Commonwealth University School of World Studies.
The worship of Santa Muerte is the fastest growing in the Western Hemisphere. Santa Muerte can be considered to be a religious syncretism between the Spanish European Grim Reaperess and the the death diety of the Aztec goddess, Mictecacihuatl. She is widely worshipped by the very poor, drug dealers, prison guards, and the lovelorn. Devotees believe the Bony Lady to be the fastest and most efficacious miracle worker.
We also compare Santa Muerte to other folk saints both in the Americas and Europe and discuss the commonalties and differences as well as religious trends.
Stephen Braude is very accomplished. He joined Kate and Fahrusha on April 26, 2016 for a fascinating discussion on psychokinesis and related topics. Braude is an Emeritus Professor of philosophy and former chair of the department at the university of Maryland, Baltimore. Currently he is the Editor in Chief of the Journal of Scientific Exploration and a past president of the Parapsychological Association. He is the author of six books and more than 60 essays, and the recipient of numerous awards, grants and fellowships.
In this episode, we spoke about his book The Gold Leaf Lady, and to a lesser degree about The Limits of Influence and Immortal Remains. The story of Katy, the Gold Leaf Lady, is a truly mesmerizing account of a remarkable woman, which Stephen Braude shared with us. We hope to speak to him again about more of his work.
Dear Listeners, please share your PK experiences and your psychic pet stories with us. We want to hear from you!
On March 31, 2016 Mary Rodwell of the Australian Close Encounter Resource Network joined Kate Valentine and Fahrusha for a fascinating discussion about the meaning and effects of alien communication. She has interviewed thousands of experiencers and believes that each individual is the final expert on their own experience with the “others”, whether they be extraterrestrial, spiritual, or inter-dimensional beings. She also has an avid interest in the new generation of children who are experiencers. She has written a book, Awakening, How Extraterrestrial Contact Can Transform Your Life.
Mary Rodwell is a member of The Foundation for Research Into Extraterrestrial Encounters, also known as FREE. We at Shattered Reality Podcast have interviewed a number of FREE’s members including Kathleen Marden.
During the podcast we also hear from Diane, a listener, who had an experience of instantaneous teleportation.
Levitation, particularly unaided human flight, has been a fascination of many individuals since the advent of human history. In this episode of “Shattered Reality Podcast” recorded on March 1, 2016, Kate Valentine and Fahrusha sought to uncover information about the secrets and reality of this ever mysterious, ever elusive ability, with the able help of Dr. Michael Grosso, author of The Man Who Could Fly.
St. Joseph of Copertino, the subject of the book, was an uneducated and poor man who lived in the 17th Century in Italy. He became a Franciscan friar and during the course of his devotions experienced spiritual ecstasy causing him to levitate. This levitation was beyond his control. It was witnessed by thousands of people during his lifetime and happened hundreds of times in different locations around southern Italy.

On February 16, 2916 Kate Valentine and Fahrusha were very pleased to welcome Ryan Hurd of Dream Studies. Together we discussed the mysteries of sleep paralysis, hypnogogic visions, recurrent dreams and lucid dreaming. You can learn more about encouraging dream remembrances and lucid dreaming. Do “others” visit you during your sleep or during sleep paralysis? Can you be telepathic during dreams?
Ryan Hurd is the author of a number of books including: Dream Like A Boss, Big Dreams, Lucid Immersion Guidebook, Sleep Paralysis: A Guide to Hypnagogic Visions and Visitors of the Night. He also co-edited, with Kelly Bulkeley, the two-volume reference edition Lucid Dreaming: New Perspectives on Consciousness in Sleep.
You can learn a lot about dreams from Ryan so listen up! 🙂
Near-death researcher and experiencer P.M.H. Atwater explains the ins and outs of the near death experience to Kate and Fahrusha. What are the aftereffects of the experience? What different types of experiences are there? Some people go for prolonged periods without breathing but suffer no brain damage. Often experiencers report seeing religious figures from a religion other than their own. Unpleasant experiences (hellish) are reported but are not necessarily considered “bad” but rather instructive or helpful.
P.M.H. Atwater is the author of a number of excellent books. The book on which we focused in this episode was: Near-Death Experiences, The Rest of the Story, however she is a prolific author, with many other worthwhile titles to her credit.
We here at “Shattered Reality Podcast” welcome your feedback and suggestions as well as your accounts of paranormal experiences.
In November 2015 Kate Valentine and Fahrusha welcomed Todd Robbins of Investigation Discovery Channel’s True Nightmares to “Shattered Reality Podcast”.
Fahrusha has known Todd for at least 25 years. They have worked together at many events. She was both happy and surprised to learn that he was hosting a new TV program featuring bizarre but true stories that could definitely keep you up at night due to their uncanny and grisly nature. Clearly he was a natural for “Shattered Reality Podcast”.
Todd Robbins is a magician and side-show artiste who had a very successful Off-Broadway show called Play Dead written by Robbins and Teller of Penn & Teller. He is great at eating lightbulbs and hammering huge nails into his brain via his nostrils. 🙂 Todd is quite simply one fascinating guy.
Ron Felber, author of the Mohave Incident, joined Kate Valentine and Fahrusha on October 6, 2015 for a fascinating discussion of alien abduction in the Mohave Desert. In 1989 a young couple with two small children decide to go on a carefree camping trip leaving the kids behind with their grandparents. What ensues is an absolutely terrifying ordeal in which these young adults are literally tortured by non-human entities. This is a case that will have you questioning what is real and what is unreal and the assumptions we make about the nature of the world in which we live.
On September 15, 2015 Kate Valentine and Fahrusha welcomed Ken Pfeifer back to “Shattered Reality Podcast” to discuss the upswing of UFO and abduction cases in Australia. Please check out Ken’s extensive UFO compilations on his websites.
Later on our faithful listener, Roxan, gives a fascinating account of her UFO sightings and interaction with a very mysterious man in black, that will have your hair standing on end.
